May Simon Fletcher will be ‘Poet of the Month’ for The Seventh Quarry magazine, Swansea. Website address:


May 10 ‘Virtual Voices’ with Parveen Brigue, Fraser Scott, Jood Gough, Garrie Fletcher & Marion Cockin, 7.30-9pm. Simon is MC for this excellent evening of stories and poetry. Contributions welcome via Offa’s online shop. Zoom link available on Offa's ‘events’ page:


May 21 ‘Country Voices’ with Jill Tromans, Peter Sutton & Emma Purshouse, 2.30-4pm. A great afternoon of poetry and stories at the Water Rat, Buildwas Road, Ironbridge, Telford, TF8 7BJ. Simon is MC, as per. Tickets £5 on the door.


June 4 Poetry Writing Workshop at Pant on the theme of ‘birds’ with Kuli Kohli. We’ll be sharing ways to write poetry about birds (symbolic, metaphorical and ecological) and the workshop will include a short walk in the nearby nature reserve.


Meet at Pant village hall, Pant, near Oswestry, Shropshire, SY10 9QG, 10am-4pm. Bring your own lunch and sensible clothing. A pair of binoculars would be good, also. Refreshments will be provided. Tickets £25/£20. There is ample parking at the hall. For more info please email:


Kuli Kohli was a keen member of the Young Ornithologists’ Club as a child and is now an RSPB supporter. She was recently appointed poet laureate of Wolverhampton (2022-24) and her collections Patchwork and A Wonder Woman are published by Offa’s Press. For more about Kuli go to:
